Virat Kohli gives a warning to South African team
Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who took rest during limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, will fly to South Africa to play big series. Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied a knot on December 11 on Italy.
Virat Kohli, who amassed 2813 runs in International cricket in 2017, will play tough series against South Africa. After the completion of three tests, India will play 6 ODIs and 3 T20Is against the same hosts.
When reporters asked how difficult it will be for him to return to play cricket after a break, Virat Kohli replied that not difficult at all.
“Not difficult at all, I was away for something (marriage) which is much more important. That is a period that will always remain special for both of us.”
“Switching back to cricket is not difficult at all because it is in my blood, like it is for every other team member, so getting back to professional front is not difficult at all,” he added.
The Indian skipper smashed 610 runs in the three match test series against Sri Lanka before taking rest from limited-overs series. In his three-week break, he practiced for South Africa tour whenever he got time.
“I haven’t done anything in the past three weeks. I have been training to get back to play in South Africa. Somewhere in your head you are always thinking about you have something important coming up, so subconsciously you are looking forward to it (South Africa tour). So, mentally I am very well prepared,” he said.
